I am currently running 275/50/15 ET Street radials @ about 19 psi on 15"x8" rims and dead hook off the line with my 383 LT1 and a 200 hp hit of nitrous set at .4 seconds off the line.

My ET street radials are almost out of life and I was thinking about buying a set of ET streets. I know that the ET street radials have a tread width of 10" and the ET streets that I would buy have tread width of 8.3" (26x10.5x15). Would I gain anything from switching to the narower streets?

This year I am going to put less of a delay on my direct port nitrous and possibly increase the amount to 250-300.

I would go with a 275 60 15 Radial. You'll be much happier staying with the Radial over the ET Street. I ran ET Streets (26x10 and 28x12.5) for years. Good tires! Just not as good as M/T's Radials.

So you think the radials are actually better than the ET street bias plys on a nitrous car?? I thought the ET-street's and Quick time Pros where basically slicks with little grooves in them, how could that be worse than a radial?? not trying to be a smartass just curious

The ET Streets are a different compound than the ET Drag slicks. They don't work nearly as well. IMO, the ET Street Radial is a better tire.

There are a couple of grudge cars down here that run drag radials over slicks because they are quicker on them. So yes, in certain cases the radials are faster than slicks. I'll never run a slick or ET Street again.
