At what point do you move from a standard to a stiff sidewall with a 16.5x33x15???

The M/T 33.0/16.5-15S (part # 3084S) stiff sidewall uses our L8 compound vs, the "non stiff" version (part # 3084) which uses the softer L4.
Some people have concerns with "stiff" sidewalls. The purpose of this feature is to maintain the integrity or shape of the tire under extreme loads. Vehicle weight, advancements in chassis technology, and the power people are making today further justify the use of stiff sidewalls. It can also help reaction times and improve tire life.
Today we'd recommend the stiff sidewall on just about anything using a "live" suspension. As a matter of fact, our new "Big Tire" lineup incorporates this feature on most sizes. If you have a door car, or 4 link dragster, the stiff sidewall (3084S) is the way to go.
I hope this helps.
Thanks for your question.

Thanks Jason...
Was beginning to wonder if this forum was monitored by m/t at all.
Sounds like I'll try the stiff sidewalls.
Been doing 1.21 60's with worn out Street ETs. Can't wait to see how much quicker the slick will be.
