Should it be legal? I think the government (BUSH) should stay out of this! North Korea has already taken 1 human embryo and made masses of human embryos to do stem cell research on. This in turn can lead to cures of many diseases. They have already found a cure through stem cell research on diabetes, but it can not be used until our government gives the word go. What are the long term effects? No one really knows.. But then again no one knows on the drugs we are fed by our doctors either. This will lead to the cure of cancer as well. Is that not a better alternative than chemotherapy? What’s your take on this? Tomorrow I want to talk about whatever happened to the two guys who cracked the genetic code!!!

What do you do if we start cloning people all over the place(I'm not payin the Bill).....this is a slipery slope...also growing babies in the womb....just to harvest stem cells can get out of hand.....I don't want my Tax $$$ going for this.....thats the issue Monty not the act itself.....just like the abortion issue....if you want one go get it.....just not with my $$$....you see the Media spins the story to make it look like the administration is blocking it....not the case.....its not FUNDING it...there is a difference....they are more then welcome to go offshore and due what they wish....its about the $$$

Sorry I stand corrected.. North Korea was able to use one embryo and produce millions of stem cells from it. So using human embryos is a thing of the past.
Jimmy, your money is going to research on drugs that we pay for now. They are drugs that do nothing as far as curing the main problem but rather extend the persons life for a little longer. So you would rather pay for someone who has cancer to get chemotheropy that for them to get injected one time and be cured? So your opinion is we should not pay for a cure that we will one day need for a loved one!! I would love to hear that answer again when you have a loved one laying on their death bed recieving chemotheropy..

Also!! I am willing to bet that the same people who are against this are the first people in line in North Korea to get the cure for their disease!!! Bush would be the first!! I hope they reject him!!!

BTW wouldn't it make more sense to spend our tax dollars on this rather than sending Japan and China billions of dollars a year and 1/2 of our jobs? Or as a conservative you can see the ideology behind that?

I have no problem with private investment on these issues because that is better in ALL situations....you are missing what I'm saying....also North Korea is not using this for any "cures" of anything.....These people kill thousands of their own dailey by starving them.....they are spending on Cloning to advance their Army...not to help mankind
