Hello guys, Just woundering a few questions with my setup.
My motor is a stock block, rod, crank, kb pistons, 101 cc heads with 2.19, 1.88 manleys, 468 BBC with around 10.5:1. Cam is a 244, .570 on intake, 254, .575 on the exhuast with a Vic Jr. intake, 825 BG carb.
So far I have been 12.20's at 112 on motor not knowing where the hell my tune is at as the carb has been bolted on. I have a wideband coming next week to tune the motor at 12:1 under power.
I have a NOS powershot adjustable to 175 with the purge kit, WOT switch, low fuel pressure switch, Mallory ignition box with build in window switch, Having the Juice come on at 3300 and shutting off at 5500.
I have the 2 step set at 3100 and the upper limit at 5800.
I am pulling 8 degrees for a 150 shot. What kind of timing should I be running on this motor? It doesnt want to idle unless it has about 18 intial.
Does this seem fine so far or should I be spinning the motor a little further?
Also for the purge solinoid, could I purge in the engine bay and worry about it getting in the air filter, or should i purge back in the motor, or just purge outside to the atmosphere?
Sorry for my stupidity, but I just cant afford to blow my junk up because school is gonna take every little bit of money out of me.
