I found a set of hooker headers for my car that are jet-hot coated and are a little rough looking. Can QC Coatings re-coat these headers or once the coating is on you cannot re-do it? Does anybody know for sure? Thanks, jeff.

Just make sure they acid strip/clean them and coat the insides all the way thru, If they don't all you will have is a patch job. If they can't do it the right way give me a call, about 1/4 of my business is stripping and redoing factory coated headers. unfortunately I'm across the boarder from you which makes shipping a royal pain. Jet hot can strip and recoat as well if you wantto go that way.
One note: MAKE SURE THEY FIT the car and all the accessories, I cant tell you how many coating repairs i have to do because some one forgot to check and had to make changes to a tube or 2. One guy redid his headers 4 times in a month! yes it was great to have a steady cutomer but it sure hurt his pocket. It should clear is not good enough, make sure all the steering components clear, put the trans in and check all the linkages, install all the plugs and wires as well, check the starter, NOW is the time to make the small adjustments.
Jeff are thes AMC headers?

Wow, I didn't know that many people knew I had the amc's for a while. I'm done with that junk!!! I bought a MPR super stock 98 camaro. Thanks for all the good info. Rick, Mike knows that the headers I found will clear everything with no problems. He has built a lot of cars with those headers. I will not use jet hot coat. I will use you or QC. If you don't mind could you send me a quote on the headers? They are #700835 on racing junk.com There is a color pic of them. Please send the quote to: proamc1@yahoo.com Thanks again.

I only know cause I bought a couple of front covers from you. Ys ramblers are funny and finicky beasts, if I didn't already have a couple of rambler powered cars I would I wouldn't be looking for any, especially in a pwerformnace application, performance AMC parts are just too dam expensive adn hard to find. I emailed you a quote.

Rick, thanks for the quote, I do remember selling a cover or two to you. Hope it worked out. Jim, not on your life!!! Why would I decrease the value of my camaro to junk status???? Waving to the fans and adjusting the music while on a pass is not my way of racing!!! Thanks guys, Jeff klei.
