I need to start gathering the safety Equipment for my car. I was wondering if any of you guys had any hints or suggestions.
I was thinking about the CSI composite Trans shield. I have the window net & clothing should not be a problem. I am going to get a ATI super damper.
Any suggestions or things to look for/watch out for?
What else am I missing?
BTW, were talking about an auto car going mid 9's.
thanks

Right on, I pretty much have all of that covered, what bugs me is the trans sheild. i cant see thats gonna be something "fun". I can only guess Im gonna end up smashing something to get it in.

thats what I thought. is the CSI preformed composite guy better (or easier) than the aluminum shields that wrap around it? it looks like it. do they make blankets that you just wrap around them, like they have for the engine diapers?

Bob,
RCI makes a pretty nice blanket. I've had one on my car for 5 years now due to lack of clearance for a shield. If you use a blanket, you will also need a flywheel shield. TCI makes a midplate with a flywheel shield built in that is SFI approved. Is your flywheel SFI approved?

I have most all the stuff ya listed here, but heres maybe a dumb question do the doors have to be openable from the outside I am using plastic doors and windows with hood latches on the interior side of the doors I have seen a couple of cars at the track with shaved handles and locks so I figure they are using solenoids.

Yes - They have to ba able to open from the outside. In an accident if you get knocked out, someone from the outside will need to open up the door.
Hope this helps .
