While on the subject here of lens'. I was doing some searching around last night for reviews and such on products. I decided along with the 70-200 i will get id also like to have a wide angle lens and a fisheye lens. ive always liked the fisheye effect, if used right. it creates, what i think, is a real cool perspective to whatever your shooting.

So who uses what? what are the pros and cons you see? what would you suggest for someone looking for one know what you do after using yours?

i mainly looked at canon brand lens' and they really look like nice stuff. Again not cheap, but ive come to terms with the to play you gotta pay thing. So if it takes a little longer to get them its ok if i get the quality parts to use for years to come.

I have taken a 10.5 fisheye out to the track a couple of times. I have tried it for both motocross and drag racing. For me, I have deleted every one of the images that I have taken with it. Maybe I just dont know what I am doing with it but I have not made it work on the starting line for either static or panning images. I thought that it would be cool with the dragsters, but no luck for me.

The other semiwide angle I use on the starting lines is an 18 ( with a 27) digital format equivalent. It does what I need it to, and that is get multiple cars when I want. Persoanlly I would not spend any money on a fisheye for drag racing. For scenery yup, drag racing not for me.

I have a Canon 10-22, it is a cool lens. Just don't over use it.

i could have used a wide angle tonight. even a fish eye would have netted some neat shots form what i got.
