help please.

tonight Im going to try to take some shots at my Nephews wrestling tournament . so far all my people action shots suck like a 100hp shop vac.
any advise? I use a Nikon d300, with a 18/200 vr lens , and a old 50mm.
I also have a sb800 flash but I have no clue on set ups for that as I dont have a Manuel for it yet.
Plus Ive never been in this gym, so I dont know how or what type of lighting is there.

Put the 50mm on, dial in ISO 1600 and F2.0 in A mode...good luck.
