Does anyone have any experience with water/methanol injection systems?? Recently read an article on one, and I know it's nothing new, but I was just looking for some input on it. Right now I don't have much room for an intercooler and was wondering if this would be a viable alternative for now.
Thanks.

Thanks Jim, do you have an opinion on using these systems?? Good, bad, so-so??

I know that ATI-Procharger likes the snow system. Twenty years ago we had a twin turbo boat that we ran on pump gas and injected washer solvent and worked very well.

Myth,
quite a few of the guys on the 3rd gen Camaro board were running them a few years ago. it was a way to get the intake charges down to run pump gas on thier blower/turbo motors. http://www.thirdgen.org/techboard/ try in the power adder forum. also a lot of the GN folks run them as well.

Thanks Bob, I will check those out. LX, I was looking at a kit carried by The Super Charger Store www.thesuperchargerstore.com (http://www.thesuperchargerstore.com) they had an article in the latest Engine Masters magazine where they used a kit on a ProCharged 440 Mopar. Just looking for some input. Thanks.

I run the Anderson Ford Motorsport "MR Freeze" water injection. It doesn't have any pumps or crap like that. At milan last Friday was the first try with it. My car was fat, but it went 10 to 1 AFR all the way down track. Check out there website. It worked good for me.

FWIW,
I've got a Snow kit on my car. SBF with an 88mm turbo and an A/A intercooler. I used to run pump gas and used it for detonation control. I've since moved to race gas and use it mainly to cool the aircharge now.
I run a single nozzle squirting the methanol in, and a mix of 90% meth, 10% water. I put the water in there mainly to help slow down the evaporation during the summer months. I see about a full point richer A/F when spraying the meth vs not spraying it. (i.e. 9.7:1 instead of 10.7:1). So if you do spray meth, you will need to adjust your tune. If you're running pump gas you can add a significant amount of timing. If you're running race gas, you'll need to lean your tune out accordingly. Just spraying the meth and not adjusting the tune doesn't have much of an effect on performance other than cooling the air charge temp.
Depending on the ambient air temp, I see a difference of 40^-60^.
