I have the factory hatch on the back of my 98 Firebird. It has the factory spoiler on it(same as the white formula in your photo gallery). I was having traction issues and put a large promod style wing on it. I was thinking of taking the promod style wing off and running with the factory spoiler again now that I have my car figured out.

I was wondering how fast guys have run with the factory spoiler?. I have gone 8.40 previously, now wanting to run 7.80.

Yep, we've been 8.20's on the factory spoiler. I know of a few others that are in the 7.8 / 7.9 area as well. The fastest I saw was Mike Yedgarian's yellow TA. He ended up going 7.20's @ 200 with the stock deck lid. He ultimately put on one of the Joe Van O wings that we're now selling. Essentially there is no wing on the deck lid (it's flat) and stretches out about 18".

I'm not sure if this is the same one you have, but it comes with spill plates and the wicker which are not shown here.

I know that Mike picked up a few MPH and the car became more stable at speed.

Thanks, my rear wing actually sits on the factory spoiler. The hatch is molded in to the car so I can't take it off without a lot of work. I may take the added wing off and try it again with the factory stuff again. I will see if I can find a pic of the back of my car. Thanks again.

This is about the best pic I could find:
