Hey I'm happy to hear that I'm not the only one who has some winter time ahead of them before I can hit a warm noisy drag strip, and, since it sounds like a few of you (Kelly) have been shootin' winter action probably a lot longer than me, I thought what better place to show off some work and kill some time than here. I'll start...

Who says you can't capture action with a point-n-shoot?? I snagged this image of a friends son busting through a river embankment with a Panasonic FZ20 camera. I set the camera to manual with a shutter speed of 1/500.

Pano FZ20 again, slowed the shutter down and panned with the subject (my son this time)

Same Pano, with a bit of post processing for effect.
It definately takes some practice to shoot this kind of stuff with a PnS, due to the shutter lag and lack of adequate image framing ability, but give it a try, you might surprise yourself with the results!
Looking forward to seeing your stuff!
