Update on May 24th (Larry T's DC Doorslammer) [Archive]

Well guys I got some great news today, this race with Larry T's group will pay $1000.00 to win!

Here's the break down:

$60.00 entry fee

16 car field will pay $1000.00 to win and $200.00 R/U

20 car field will pay $1000.00 to win and $200.00 R/U and $100.00 for semi's

32 car field will pay $1000.00 to win, $400.00 R/U, $150.00 for semi's and $75.00 1/4
finalists.

(Adjustments to payout will be made accordingly to allow us to payback further with anything more than 16 cars, the car count and dollar figures for 20 and 32 car fields are being used as examples to show the break down of $$)

Remember this is a non points race and we will be running SB NOS, SB N/A, BB NOS, BB NA, SB Turbo or SB Supercharged TOGETHER at this event.

RULES

2008-2009 Rules

1. 3100 lbs SB NOS base weight and 2700lbs SB N/A base weight
2. Stock Suspension, door car or truck use base weights
2a. Stock frame rail with ladder bar add 100 lbs
2b. Stock frame rail with 4 link add 200 lbs
3. Any cubic Small Block, sheetmetal intake okay
4. 275/60 Drag Radial Tire on nitrous combos - 28 X 10 slick allowed on N/A SB combos only.
5. Nitrous Combos or N/A only (multiple systems okay)
6. Must have mufflers
7. Progressives ok
8. 7531 ok
9. Frame notch ok, no back half cars (must have factory frame rail)
10. Fiberglass ok
11. Lexan ok
12. Coil Overs ok
13. Mini Tubs ok
14. No wheelie bars

1/8th mile and a Quick 8/16 format with a Pro Ladder and Pro Tree

SB 88 or smaller (must use 76 mm sleeve) w/T6 flange 3300 lbs on 275's

BB conv head stock deck height single system 3250 lbs on 275's

BB N/A conventional heads 3100 lbs on 275's

BB N/A big chief heads 3200 lbs on 275's

Ladder bar stock frame rail add 100 lbs

4 link stock frame rail add 200 lbs

Yes it's going to have the Southern Outlaw Doorslammer Cars there as well as the 275 Radial Cars and other featured classes.

Larry always puts on a great show. The SOD/POD race last year @ MIR was a nice event. You will see some heavy hitters at that race. Will they be having any bracket racing or just grudge runs?

We are gonna test close to home this Friday. (capitol is 10 min from home)

We made a few motor passes last Friday with good results so barring anything crazy we will be there Sunday with a few nitrous bottles. :-D

Looks like this is going to be the biggest car count yet for us, so if you are on the fence about coming out fall on this side and get your stuff together! Jason has promised an awesome racing surface, there's 1000 bucks on the line, and media coverage!Judging from the e-mails and PM's lot's of new guys will be making it out also.

Guys we will be parking on the RIGHT SIDE where REAL STREET PARKS on Friday night. We need to keep everbody together because I will be doing the class tech and before I get into the track I'll be outside selling the spectator/crew tickets. If you are car is ready to go bring it out, if you are close get of the net and get back to work on it so you can be there tomorrow!

Look for a BLACK 2500HD with BLACK 1980 Malibu on an open trailer.
