Since we know the majority of our oil/gas is imported from the middle east. And most believe the middle east is the host of all terrorist.. I say prove your belief by stop buying gas and oil!! Easy for some of you to talk shit about how we should be there.. fighting the war.. killing people.. Well since your ass is too scared to go there to fight for this.. Do your part by not buying or using anymore fuel!! Let's see who steps up.. Let the true heros step forward.. Or will this be a "as long as I dont have to do shit or lose any of the shit Im used to having Im all for it?"

Like always........MONEY is the ROOT of all EVIL. Goes both ways........

Where our imports come from.

Note 1 Barrel = 1,000 Barrels
1) Canada 17.7% 2,112 barrels/day North America
2) Saudi Arabia 13.3% 1,592 barrels/day Middle East
3) Mexico 12.1% 1,443 barrels/day North America
4) Venezula 11.3% 1,349 barrels/day
5) Nigeria 9.2% 1,097 barrels/day Africa
6) Algeria 4.5% 543 543 barrels/day Africa
7) Iraq 4.4% 531 barrels/day Middle East
8) Angola 3.5% 419 barrels/day Africa
9) Ecuador 2.5% 293 barrels/day South America
10) United Kingdom 2.5% 293 barrels/day Europe

Other 19.1% 2,2279 barrels/day

OPEC Countries supply 45.4% of imports 5,428 barrels/day
Persian Gulf Countries supply 19.7% of imports 2,358 barrels/day

Can anyone answer where our neighbors in Canada import their crude oil from? :-D Yes this is a test..

From what I can tell (and I could be wrong, its early and I haven't hit my minimum amount of caffeine requirement yet) Canada still produces more oil than it consumes. It exports about 99% of its excess oil to the US. And since it is cheaper and more efficient to move oil by tanker than pipeline it then imports oil to Quebec and Atlantic Canada, which comes mainly from the US. However,we still come out ahead (we import more from them than we export to them) and it works out good for both countries with reduced transportation costs. The have pipelines coming to us in the Mid-West, we have tankers going to them on the Atlantic coast.

No it works out good for the Americans, just like every other deal that some "head in his ass politician" has made with regards to trade with the US on our behalf. Some moron struck a deal to sell you guys our oil CHEAP a long time ago Im sure any thing we get from US we arent getting a bargain on. Hell we are so backwards sometimes we are prolly buying our own oil back from you.

My dad used to say that Adam (from the bible) was canadian, only a Canadian could spend his days in paradise with a naked woman, ...................and worry about an Apple

GIVE is the operative word, We dumb ass canadians GIVE our oil to the us, I guess some of our Gov't were so ugly their mom had to pay people to play with them so they did teh same with teh US by giving them our oil.

I read somewhere that our consumption of Middle East oil was even lower than noted in the previous post. The vast majority our oil comes from Canada and Mexico.

American citizens don't consume much Middle East oil. . . . BUT a handful of American COMPANIES make TONS of $$$$$$$ pumping Middle East oil out of the ground. . . Then they sell it to China, India and Russia.
