street radial drags ?
That has to be the next step, considering a 275 DR class with tight rules is 8.30-8.50's... I'm going to try some true street radial tires this season. My brother in laws eclipse has gone 10.04 at over 140 on kumhos or hankooks street tires, gotta be a way to make it down the track with a quality pep boy radial?

i heard nmca street race class was just turned into a street radial class , i don't think the bw turbo was legal in street race

"Tires must be D.O.T. accepted. D.O.T. radial tires are required.
D.O.T. Drag Radial: Drag radial tires must be suitable and designed for street use. Tire
tread may not extend outside fenders. Tire shaving is prohibited. The following sidewall
designation D.O.T. drag radial tires are the only designations permitted: 275/50;
275/60 .15
a) Permitted street-type D.O.T. radial tire list:
BFGoodrich Comp T/A Drag Radial
BFGoodrich G-force T/A Drag Radial
Nitto NT555R Drag Radials
ALSO ACCEPTED: any approved radial-construction tire with a D.O.T. tread wear
rating of 180 or greater that fits all other criteria and sizing."
A real radial in that class would be real interesting.... that would be an awesome on time thing to do for nmca!

I think a class with no drag radials, has to be a true street radial, and use the tread wear and temp ratings as the determining factor if a tire is allowed.
Of coure we have to add another hundred other rules or so or else it just wouldn't be fun
