I was just wondering, didn't they let a naturally aspirated combos run on a slick this past year? And are they going to let them run it in 2009?I would love to come and run with you all atleast one race if my combo will run ok.
Thanks for any info

Hey craig, the guy that has greg meradiths old el camino ran a mir race this year and went to the semis! That car still amazes me. It dont sound radical at all. Are you just now getting your car together? Me and shelley run a auto repair shop together and i help him on his car also.I remember him talking about you trying to get your car together when we ran the 10"tire natural outlaws. Its a good group of guys running this series, you will have a blast!

Yea pretty much,I picked it from my cousin about 5 or 6 weeks ago,and I went to a friend of mine and he notice how close the rear tires where,so I have been waiting to get it back to my cousin's to cut and trim etc...But I hope to get that done in the next week or two. Then we should start testing.
It has took awhile but it looks worth it.It has had a full make over, front rear disk brakes, switched to 5 lug, with Weld Alumna Stars all the way around, new moser rear end stuff, put on Strange Double Adj. shocks, Magna Flow fuel pump new hood, new carbon bumper cover, paint and body work, new weatherstripping all around.New Koni front shocks and camber caster plates,I may have left out a few other details and I even haven't told u about the engine.
To begin with beside money that's was the hold up the start with,,,,The heads that I have Ron Sharp done them to for John and Jim Clement they used to run NMRA SSO.Ron did some wild welding on them and well when my engine guy made a mistake when ordering pistons and we didn't have the comp to run on the motor.Duane had found this out went I sent the heads.SO....I got another set of pistons and went up on the stroke and then I just wont't in a hurry and told the man not to be in a hurry.Well he won't.When I got ready to get it it took over a year and a half to get it.When I got it I met Duane at the dyno that he uses and we found out some stuff we needed to chande ie,intake, cam, update carb by pro systems.I took it to my local dyno and new engine man.You may remember him,Mr Bobby Perry with the 68 Camaro with the bad ass SBC.They worked it over for me again, torn it apart and work on the pistons and work on the intake after a full pulls.Run the Q16 after the Rockett 118.Q16 "That's some badass fuel" ANYWAY after I got the motor home I had to wait for my cousin and uncle to get started on it.
Well it's been home and waiting for a trim and it should be race ready.I CAN'T WAIT!!!!Send me your email and I'll send you some pics.
Sorry to be so damn long but I had to get it out of my system!!!!!!!
Later and I hope to see you some this year.

I know how ya feel on a competative reliable motor and car! It dont happen over night. Sounds like its coming together though. :) Car looks good in your pic. Tell any other guys looking to race a series to check it out. And the ones that want to spray can do it legal on 275`s. lol:smt044

You can also run Real Street on a slick if NA as well, I think!
