off the dyno last night, not the most favorable weather but this little sbc pulled out 503 rwhp and 457 tq. not to bad for a 23 degree headed motor.
now i just have to get the rings seated and down the track, or i could try to seat the rings while driving it down the track! lol!!
big thanks to Matt Kars of Kars Installation for all of the custom wiring of the FAST XFI setup! he is just as anal as Brian Harshaw who freshened the motor over the winter! thanks again Brian!!!! Eric Bradby (EBPorting) ported my heads, what a difference from last year.
and to those who helped me to wrench on it!! a huge thanks! as well, you know who you are.
JMC,
dunno if you read this site, but the car is ready for your ride :D

Sounds awsome. What are the 1320 expectations on motor? Where did you dyno the car?
We want more info...

well it went 10.5 on horsepower last year with a 4.11 out back.
i took it to Walsh Motorsports out in Wixom, he is better versed in the FAST software, I am learning quickly but preferred having his expertise in tuning the car. he really knows his way around the FAST unit. it aslo gave me an opportunity to learn a few things. His dad owns D&D Performance, the folks who built my trans. also i figured if Donnie Jr. can tune a 6 second Pro 5.0 car, then my car is a joke for him, lol!!!!
there is a 4.71 in her now, so i figure with the extra ponies i hope to see better than 10.54, ha ha!!! i'll let you know when i get her down the strip. the xpresway is a nice tuning tool, but the track is where we go balls out!

racing will be soon enough, will be on motor first, as usual.
belle river was ok, the rain put a damper on things, but still alot of people out! i am glad the rain took a break.
Roman's looks really pretty right about now, it needs some assembly at this point.

Its funny, Taner........every time I made a large change in the Acadian it always turned out to be a major headache getting everything right. In the end though it always seemed like the harder you had to work for it, the better the end result was. Good luck at the track.........and try and keep that 9" together, huh!

well the 9" held up, unfortunately the trans didn't, lmao! i am guessing it was probably tweaked after the last time out at Mid Michigan last october.

Yah, catasrophic rear end failures tend to transmit lots of damage elseware. Sorry to here about the breakage. Just don't listen to all the calls for an automatic that you are sure to get! Real men row they're own! Except, when you drive a unibody convertable that ways 4000lbs and are a little on the violent side with manuals!! LOL

I can see the headlines. "Local man killed when falling asleep behind the wheel of his 9 second automatic car"! Ahhhhhhh! Bad dream! You'll have to change your online name, your licence plate, everything. Nope, just to much work and no more fun! LOL

Rob,
lmao!!! never, i will never change, i hope to have it fixed in a week! it is only the input shaft. that is about the only part of the trans that i had not broken!

Sweeeeeeeeeeet! Another trophy for the wall! Its no fun when you have doubles of the same broken parts (ie ring and pinions!) Now you can add an imput shaft to your impressive collection of PTCC. Parts that can't cutit! LOL
